Placement Under UDAAN

MEGA REQUIREMENT DRIVE UNDER UDAAN ORGANISED
Two days Mega Requirement drive was launched in the premises of G.L.D.M. Degree
College, Hiranagar under Udaan.
Dr. Naresh Kumar Gupta, Principal of the college during his inaugural speech stressed
the participants to take part in such drives actively to get maximum benefits from the
different schemes launched by Govt. of India. The main objective of the scheme is to train the
graduates and post graduates in specific skill sectors and generate employment.
According to Miss. Komal Koul Project Coordinator Strategic Project Udaan, this
scheme is especially launched for the welfare of unemployed youth of Jammu & Kashmir.
Different corporate who are participating in this programme are Accenture, Appollo
Med skills, Ims Health, S.E-Biz Infotech, Sahaj-e- eVillage, Surya wires, VISPL, MBD
group etc.
Today 35 candidates were registered their names under different programmes.
Senior faculty of the college Prof. Daya Vilas, Prof. Vijay Kumar, Prof. Rakesh
Sharma and Prof. Arun Kumar were also present on the occasion.
Two days "Mega Placement Drive" organized under NSDC Udaan concluded at
G.L.D.M. Degree College Hiranagar. Around 8 corporate houses representing wide range of
sector like Apollo Medskills, Darcel logistics, NISA, Techonopak Advisors Pvt. Ltd., STC
Technologies, SE BIZ Infotech, Quess Corporation, Sahaj e village participated in this
programme.
The representatives of corporate houses interacted with the students and also
conducted Precounselling placement session for them. 75 students of the college registered
their names. The drive was organized by the career counseling/placement cell of the college
under the guidance of Prof. Vijay Kumar Chandan, Prof. Balbir Kumar, Prof. Rakesh
Sharma, Prof. Arun Kumar, Prof. Virender Pal Singh & Dr. Neeru Sharma.
Dr. Naresh Kumar Gupta Principal of the college advised the students to take
maximum benefits of such schemes launched by the Govt. of India especially for the youth of
Jammu and Kashmir State.
S. Ajay Paul Singh mobilization officer NSDC was also present on the occassion.
